Seven Chakra Bija Mantra

Seven Chakra Bija Mantra

The “Seven Chakra Bija Mantra” is designed to shift listeners and chanters to deeper and higher vibrations within the authentic self. How wondrous and subtle are the vital energies that animate the human body. Each Bija or petal sound accesses & tunes into one’s own main channel Chakras system, which emanates from the center of the being. Each chakra receives and expresses our vital life force or ‘prana’; ‘pra’ meaning ‘first’ and ‘na’, meaning ‘small’. Our prana arises from the most fundamental and quantum sustaining force, energizing all expressions of consciousness, including the ongoing complex orchestration of our physical body. It is common to be moved into a trance like state while speaking or listening to this mantra. This simply indicates distractions of the external environment have successfully been put aside until one find’s purpose to pick it up again. Any states of dullness and agitation from stress or fatigue can subside with regular use of the Seven Chakra Bija Mantra.

This Mantra contains the Seed Sounds of the 7 well known Chakras of the Human Entity. They are:

OM (pronounced AUM……….………….Sahasrara Chakra/Crown

KSham (KShang)…………………………Ajna Chakra

Ham (pronounced Hang)…………………Vishuddha Chakra/Throat

Yam (Yang)………………………………. Anahata Chakra/Heart

Ram (pronounced rRang)………………..Manipura Chakra /Navel

Vam (Vang)………………………………..Svadhisthana Chakra/Sacral

Lam (pronounced Lang)…………………Muladhara Chakra/Root

The order is from the Para atman (Divine self) down through the Jiva atman (personal self) bringing ether, space, air, sound, light, thought, heat, moisture, water, earth, feeling, minerals, & stability.

While repeating this Mantra the exhalation (breath coming down) is most active; the back of the palate vibrates purifying the tissues around it, including sinuses, trachea, esophagus, thyroid glands as well as the general head and neck tissues. Breathe in deeply the inhalation to fill the head with moderate pressure and chant all seven bija sounds, If this is too much inhale gently as necessary between bija sounds and enjoy the sensations of each resonance. The benefits are balancing of the lungs, circulating life force in the body, purification of the frontal brain, the Nadis, calms the Nervous System, tones the digestive track and harmonizes the vibrations, and energetic flow between Chakras.

May all beings everywhere be happy and free, namaste.
